ords can't explain how happy I am. I thought that FIT never received my application because they never sent me a confirmation e-mail. I'm so shocked and excited and just full of emotions. At first I thought I was going to study at Otis College of Art and Design for sure but now I am definitely considering FIT. The only problem is how much it will cost to attend FIT andif my father will allow me too. He made it pretty clear earlier back in November that I couldn't apply out of state... or anywhere far in general. What bums me out the most though is that I have this instinct that if I were to attend FIT, I would be able to kick-start my career in a jiffy. New York exists as the fashion headquarters! Such a sad dilemma for me :(. I have a feeling I will most likely go to Otis because it is still in California and I will be able to design and apply my creativity. At FIT, I would be studying Fashion Merchandising Management. If I were to earn a AAS degree in Fashion Merchandising Management, I would want to also apply for a Bachelors' degree afterward. With that degree, I could fulfill my aspirations of becoming a fashion buyer and applying my sense of style into the fashion industry.
I have only about a month to figure out which school I should go to. Agh!! :( I need help deciding..

Did you need a portfolio as part of the application?
ReplyDeleteNo you don't if you are applying for Fashion Merchandising Management. But if you were to apply for Fashion Design, you would need a portfolio

ReplyDeleteWhen I applied my high school GPA was 3.8 but I'm not sure what the requirement it is for transfers. I wish you good luck and I'm glad that you realized what you wanted to do.
